Cillian Murphy (Inception, Batman Begins)

Here's the final sculpt ready for the molding process. I expect the mold to be ready by wednesday, then I'll start casting, hopefully. I'm going to be busy next week, but I hope to start working on these, 'cause I can;t wait to paint one.

If you are interested in one of these send me an email. My email is in the right side of the screen in the facebook box.

Cillian Murphy Work in progress 2

Some quick progress pictures. I'm roughing in the hair, looking for it's shape. I also worked a little bit more on the eyes, made them a tad bigger than the last preview, and added a bit more cheek bones and brows, the neck looks a bit long, it'll be cut out later.

It still need some more tweaks, but I'm happy where this is going.

Thanks for looking!

Cillian Murphy W.I.P

I've been working on it for quite some time now. This is my second go at it, 'cause the first time around I messed it up :/ , big time, so I had to start all over again, I almost gave up when that messing happened, I was so frustrated.

So anyways, yeah, it's still rough around the edges since it's a W.I.P obviously. I'm also learning from my mistakes as I go and I'm taking it slowly, it's my fifth sculpt anyways, well, fifth and a half, heh.

I plan on using it mainly for Robert Fischer from Inception, but I think it'll also work for Jonathan Crane "The Scarecrow" from Batman Begins, the hair style isn't that different anyways.

I plan on modding the head to make Jim from "28 days later".

Thanks for looking!

Ken Watanabe Modified heads painted

This is Ken Watanabe as Saito (Inception), Ra's Al-Ghul (Batman Begins) and Katsumoto (The Last Samurai).

I'm going to bash a Katsumoto soon, but instead of the samurai armor, I will be making him into his traditional kimono like he wore when he was teaching Algren-san the way of the samurai. A samurai armor would have been visually appealing, but I'm trying to make it fit my budget.

Inception: Eames Headsculpt (Tom Hardy) Painted

 NOTE: NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Already finished with this one, I test painted Tom a lot of times because I couldn't get his facial colors right, so what you see here is my third try, these pictures does not make justice, I'm not a good photographer anyways.

Inception: Saito bash W.IP

I bought a new camera (yay) and was testing some shots. Now I need to get (or paint) a gold colored tie and that's about it. The suit it's the TTL gray suit, works like a charm IMO.

Ken Watanabe as Ra's Al-ghul and Katsumoto

These are modified Saito (Ken Watanabe) heads. I only modified 4 of them, 2 into Katsumoto from the "Last Samurai", and the other 2 into Ra's Al-Ghul from the movie "Batman Begins".  The modifications are made as per my client's request.

1/6 The Kingdom: Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx)

This is Ronald Fleury played by Jamie Foxx from the movie The Kingdom. This one here is my first incursion into the 1/6 kit bashes. I used a Michael Jackson slim body because I didn't know the difference between figure bodies and I thought they were all the same height and all, but with different sculpting "style". Now that the TT advanced are out I might update this guy.

The head was sculpted by Numo, I bought one from him at a discounted price, so in theory the discount is what made me take the plunge. I tried to match the color of the skin with the arms so I wouldn't need to paint the arms.

I made the little dio over a generic stand that came with a generic 1/6 figure body, the sand is made using some kind of putty (I forgot what kind of putty), as well as the details in the metal post, then painted accordingly. I used to make dioramas, so doing it brought back some memories.

Jamie Foxx used a HK (Hekler & Koch) G3 in the movie, but I couldn't find it in 1/6 scale so I had to settle down with this one.

1/6 Resident Evil: Alice (Milla Jovovich)

My search for the Brother Production "Contempory" (as they listed it) Zombie Killer Alice was in vain. So, I bought a parted out Zombie Killer Alice set and dressed up a HT TT Female body, then bought a recast head, and painted it. It was a simple kitbash, and I had fun with it. One thing to note is that Milla has smaller breasts, but I was not able to get a small breasted female figure, so for now this will do until I find the one for her.

1/6 Kiss of the dragon: Jet Li as "Liu Jian"

This is a kitbash I wanted to make ever since I walked into the 1/6 scale world. I think Kiss of the Dragon was one of the best movies Jet Li has ever done. The simple black clothing he used in the film was easy to replicate in 12".

The body used is an Enterbay Bruce Lee body, I think it fits Jet Li since he has a smaller frame being asian, the Enterbay BL body is smaller than a Hot Toys True Type or a Sideshow Buck/Prometheus body so I thought it was a must if I wanted him to be "in scale".

The head I used is a recast of Enterbay's Fearless Jet Li head, I sculpted the hair and painted it. The recast head wasn't 100% good, I had to fill in the imperfections. This is the second time painting a 1/6 scale head, I used to customize action figures, so painting was easier than sculpting for me. As for the rest of the figure, I dyed his shirt black and asked a friend of mine, who is a tailor, to fix the pants a bit, because originally they were very baggy on this type of 12" body. I did the needle bracelet using some wires and masking tape, it's not the best job, but it serves it's purpose at least.

Hope you like it!

Inception: Eames (Tom Hardy) Headsculpt

Here's Tom Hardy as Eames finally done (I think) haha. I've had lots of trouble with his lips he has some kind of angelina jolie going on in there, hehe. I'm pretty satisfied with this one. I really really hope I can get it cast so I could modify it to make him into Bronson!, yeah baby. Before sculpting Yusuf or Ariadne, both on my to do list, I'll move to another character from another movie, let's see how it goes, stay tuned!.

You can compare this updated version with the rough sculpt here: rough sculpt

Inception: Eames Work In Progress

Ok, this is a WIP of Tom Hardy as Eames. Been working on it for a couple of days now, on and off. He looked a bit fattier on Inception so that's the look I'm trying to capture. Pardon the quality of the pictures, my camera officially sucks, or I suck at taking pictures, heh.

Need some more tweeks and some texturing of the hair and skin, I hope to have it finished by weekend. *crossing fingers*

Thanks for looking!

Inception: Saito (Ken Watanabe) Head Sculpt

So this is Ken Watanabe from Inception, it's a 1:6 scale head sculpt for a custom figure I'm throwing together, the movie is so awesome that I have to have the whole team. Watanabe-san is like my third sculpt, and I think I did pretty decent. I'm planning on sculpting Eames and Yusuf to complete the team, unless someone does them first :P . As for Ariadne, I'm afraid to sculpt her, but I guess I'd have to take a shot at her.

I'm currently working on Eames (Tom Hardy). The son of a gun is hard to sculpt, but it should be considering that it's like my forth sculpt. What's my first you ask ?, well it's a Sammo Hung from Ip Man, I already painted it, and stuff, I will upload later but it's so ugly I don't want to, as for my second is a Beetlejuice, I'm planning on throwing together a kit, the clothing is currently in testing phase as I was not very happy with the initial results.

I'm going to upload the painted sculpt later, until I find someone who can help me make casts of it (locally, and I mean in Costa Rica), otherwise I'll have to experiment myself. I'm planning on selling the head for those interested, so I'll let you about availability.
